Kronos

Kronos Slot Review

The mythical Greek God Kronos was the son of Uranus (the sky) and substantially less famous than his son Zeus. In the eyes of Slots developer WMS, they both make fine fettle for a video slot game. In fact, the Kronos slot is part of the same WMS ‘G+’ series of slots, which has been developed for both land-based and online slot machines.

Game-Play Features

The Kronos video slot is played with a standard 5-reel setup that includes 20 pay lines. WMS has employed a rather simplistic betting model that only allows the players to wager one coin per pay line with a coin value range of $.01-$30.00. That translates to a minimum bet of $.20 up to a maximum of $60.00 per spin.

The Symbols

The game’s standard low paying symbols are represented by Kronos’ golden throne, the ring, Pegasus and playing card symbols that include a heart, diamond, club and spade. The game has two wild symbols (reels 2-4 only), a lion’s head and Kronos’ shield. As a wild symbol, the shield carries one of the playing card symbols attached to it, making it wild for that suit only. The lion’s head subs for all other symbols except the feature symbol.

Bonus Features and Free Spins

A gold medallion serves as the game’s feature symbol. It creates a chance for the player to win up to 100 free spins for a bonus games where Kronos serves as the wild symbol, and it comes stacked on all the reels. To earn free spins, the player must land 3, 4 or 5 bonus symbols in order to earn 10, 25 or 100 free spins respectively. During free spins, the payouts flow both left to right and right to left. On this game, free spins can be re-triggered.

Verdict: Kronos comes with really nice and clean graphics, as well as a decent audio component. This is especially important because this 2012 games lacks much of the creativity found in games currently being developed and released. The lack of video features and a worthwhile interactive bonus game make this particular game rather bland by today’s standard. It has a high variance and low jackpots, which is the perfect storm for a video slot that leaves a lot to be desired. Slot players may want to seek other slots if they are looking for excitement and big payouts.
